Q: What is your anniversary or milestone?
A: Splash is celebrating its 25th birthday.

Q: Tell us about your history.
A: The idea for Splash began on the water in 1998 by an avid Keys fi sherman, Bruce Gerleman. My plan was and is to bring the best of the Islands back to Iowa to share with my guests.

Q: What are you most proud of?
A: Splash has been honored with the Wine Spectator Magazine Award of Excellence for 23 consecutive years and was named a Distinguished Restaurant of North America for 14 consecutive years.

Q: What are some of the milestones you achieved along the way?
A: Splash is a downtown Des Moines staple and a favorite restaurant of so many. We are so proud to continue to provide the highest quality food and exceptional service and we are honored that so many people choose Splash to celebrate their anniversaries, milestones and special occasions.

Q: How do you plan to celebrate?
A: Splash will introduce a new birthday menu each month of 2023. The menu will showcase new varities of “fresh fi sh” and native island recipes that are unusual and unique in the Midwest.

Q: What makes your restaurant unique?
A: We have a AAA credit rating and are generous in our support of the community and charitable giving. Our professional staff has been working with us for a combined 200 years!

Q: What excites you about the future?
A: The future of Downtown Des Moines is bright and Splash will continue to be at the core of our city providing you with delicious “Jet Fresh” seafood federal expressed daily from the Islands of Hawaii, Alaska, Seattle, Boston, British Columbia and the Florida Keys. We are excited about the future and people in this city and we thank you for your support!
